2022 Message From Your Agricultural Society
Welcome to the 160th Caledon Fair
We are honoured to thank and welcome our members, volunteers and Sponsors to this year’s Fair, and especially our guests, some of whom may be attending for the first time.
The aims and purposes of the Caledon Fair are to promote awareness and education in agriculture, and to provide an opportunity for the general public to be exposed to agriculture awareness, promoting the welfare of our local community, and rural living. Our Fair strives to have something for everyone in the family regardless of age or interest.
Our Fair theme for 2020 is “Remember When”, and we’re excited to be sharing our agricultural tradition with you.
Our Fair Board and Hall Division meet monthly all year in order to plan for the fair and other events we present to the community. We’re all volunteers and we welcome any interest you may have in order to help it improve each year.
Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity as in intended to promote goodness or improve human quality of life. In return this activity can produce a feeling of self- worth and respect.
There is no financial gain involved for the individual. Volunteering is also renowned for skill development, socialization, and fun. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment. It is helping, assisting, serving another person or persons without pay.
If you would like to participate in meetings, purpose ideas for activities or volunteer at our Fair, we welcome your support. Call any of our convenors, whose names and numbers are in the front of our book, and we’ll be happy to give you our meeting information and welcome you to attend.
The Caledon Fair would not continue year after year without the hard work and planning of our directors and volunteers, the financial support of our sponsors and partners, and the great ideas suggested to us by our friends and supporters in the community. Thank you for supporting our Fair we hope to see you there.
