Section 7 – Grain and Hay

Competition Details

Crops of 2020. To enter any of your crops in the 2021 Virtual Caledon Fair, complete Virtual Fair online form (see below) by May 15th to contact our Virtual Fair Convenor and advise the crop and your email address, phone number and address. The Convenor will contact you to make an appointment to come and view and photograph your produce in a suitable container, approximately a bushel size, weigh a 2 liter sample and take a smaller sample for judging. Winners will be announced and displayed on our website on our traditional Fair weekend June 11th.

Prize Money Classes #1-9:  1st-$10, 2nd-$5, 3rd– $2.50

  1. Two row barley, any variety, named.
  2. Soybeans
  3. Fall wheat, any variety, named.
  4. Oats, any variety, named.
  5. Canola, any variety, named.
  6. Sunflower seed.
  7. Mixed grain, named.
  8. First cut hay, 10 inch slice, placed in plastic bag.
  9. Second cut hay, 10 inch slice, placed in plastic bag.

How to Enter This Competition

Please complete the Virtual Fair online form. Included Class Number and Class Description.  Choose your file to upload for this section. One file upload per submission.

Upload Tips

Choose File from your device or hard drive location.  Navigate to where the photo is located and select it.  Your photo will be attached and sent with this message.

Only one image file per submission form.  If you are entering 10 items, you’ll have to fill the form out 10 separate times with a different uploaded photo each time.

File type must be .JPG. We are only accepting jpg files at this time because files of this type are generally good in quality and safer than many others.

Exhibitor Number. If you have competed at the Caledon Fair in previous years, please add your Exhibitor Number to the form if you know it.
